The graduating class of 1911 presented their annual class play at the Emma Theatre last Monday evening directed by Miss Berry and Mr Mathews. The cast delivered notable performances reflecting credit on their instructors and the event pleased Payette's audience. the class tag was highlighted as a favored number. A contract was sent to Boise for Devaney to sign for a June wrestling rematch with Christianson on Payette night. Devaney pledged readiness if conditions permit and Christianson agreed to meet again. A Baker City wrestler seeks a tryout with Christianson.
George W. Jeffries married Mrs. Sadie Dudell in a quiet ceremony at the Congregational parsonage in Welser officiated by Rev. C. W. Lohgren. The couple, long-time friends turned partners, will reside in Payette with many well wishes from local friends.
About fifty High School students hosted a farewell and 17th birthday party for Miss Pansy Pratt. She will move with her parents to Welser this week, with gifts including an emerald ring and stationery. Attendees included Julia Dixon Inex Dixon Grace White Jean Sauer and many others along with several male classmates and Weiser friends.
A Boise published issue highlights Payette Valley resources and prospects. The Commercial Club organized the magazine with color printing and distributed copies at local newsstands. Funds support advertising the valley and its interests.

About 75 prominent Payette business leaders and taxpayers attended a Payette Commercial Club smoker to discuss improvements. Topics included highway district formation, cleaning up Payette, and council actions to mobilize citizens and code enforcement efforts.
Memorial Day activities by the W R C and W T Sherman Post included cemetery services for departed members, a memorial for the late Captain J C Shawhan, and a substantial dinner. The meeting debated weed control ordinances, expenses for fireworks, and funding for a big barbecue. Local businessman B F Tussing praised the meetings and Payette’s progress.
Fireman Eimererty visits the circus and home for a few days. Briggs and Fraak of Boise visit Dr. and Mrs. Catron. Logan of Sheshene arrives from Idaho and plans to work with W. S. Brumtige. Mr and Mrs Wickbass from Boise visit daughter Mrs Hli Strong. George Scott and Mrs Soothni from Lit tle Willow visit for a few days. Joe Madnemenn returns from Portland after appendectomy. Mrs Swideraat returns from Nebraska to greet friends. Powell family plans summer in the coast area and may move residence.
