The Idaho Oregon Fruit Growers Association held its first meeting of the year in Payette. Out Dutch speakers reviewed three years of rising business, called for more warehouse space, and noted plans for a fireproof warehouse on the railroad to cut shipping costs. Fire Destroys Barn of Charley McCosh in Town’s Southwest
A barn at Charley McCosh’s property in the town’s southwest was destroyed by fire on Tuesday evening. Heavy wind aided the blaze, fueling spread to nearby buildings. Two cows inside were released by workers who spotted the fire. Mr and Mrs McCosh were away at a show and unaware until returning home. Origin of the fire is undetermined.
