Central Idaho Railroad Incorporated to Link Boise and Payette

Articles filed yesterday authorize the Central Idaho Railroad company to build about 220 miles from Owinze on the Oregon Short Line through New Plymouth Fruitland Payette to Canyon County. W. H. Bancroft presides with officers J A Reeves C H Jenkinson G K Smith and directors William Ashton P L Williams F H Knickerbocker. The line will cross Idaho counties and tie into the Short Line, with Payette slated as a potential division point and terminal for Idaho Central traffic.

Expression courses in public schools lead by Miss Shaw

Superintendent Turner has hired Miss Leonora E. Shaw to teach a short course on expression at the High School and upper grades. She previously taught at Ohio and Wyoming state universities and will also speak to teachers on good reading. The term ends with the annual school play on Friday Feb 18, featuring Belshazzar's Doom and Valley Farm with over 100 participants.
