After years of costly attempts and a state health order condemning city water, Payette unveils new wells delivering clean potable water with far lower pumping costs. Mayor and Council invite residents to inspect the plants on Sunday April 6 to witness the project in operation.

A. C. Cogswell resigns as chairman of the county commissioners and will leave Portland for new business. Governor Devis appoints A. C. Strong to fill the vacancy in Payette County. At the Christian Church last Sunday the congregation re elected J. Adores as minister for an indefinite period and eighteen members joined.
