Waterloo Iowa residents Mr and Mrs L W Warner spent the weekend with Mrs Mae Nattier and Vera. H B Anderson visited at his son's home in Centralia. Denver couple Conway Malan and family planned a week with Patoka relatives before visiting Irene Van Atta in Ottawa Illinois. Della Knight of Alton visited her uncle and aunt O E Eaglin. Roy Malan hosted sons Grover Conway Glenwood and families, plus John DeLap for a noon meal. The father of Mrs L P Busch died in Austria. Elsie Gray's Chicago relatives visited Patoka for several days.

Edith Honecker 80 died suddenly at her Centralia home Saturday. Funeral 1:30 p m Tuesday at a Centralia funeral home with burial in Patoka cemetery. Born in Pope township Fayette county, daughter of Columbus and Malinda Ballard. Married first to Mike Humes in Carlyle 1900 and later to Ed Honecker. Survivors: son Walter Humes Patoka. brother Ralph Ballard Boulder. sister Roxie Linton Patoka. three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Belcher Has Glass Taken From Forehead
P W Belcher of Patoka had a corrective operation this week removing a quarter inch shard of glass from above his right eye. He previously suffered an auto accident in Ohio nearly five years ago when a doctor removed fragments of a rearview mirror from his forehead. Others in the same crash were uninjured.
