Leslie Anna And Rebecca Talbot Win Cute Baby Contest

Leslie Anna and Rebecca Sue Talbot, daughters of Mr and Mrs C S Talbot, won a Cute Baby contest sponsored by a St Louis studio. The prize is a large brown tone portrait of the two. The article also notes a March 18 birthday party for Philip Meador with many local attendees and community notices of church activities, agricultural meetings, and farming tips.

Sunbeam Party at Baptist Church Invites Children

All children are invited to the Sunbeam party at the Baptist Church Saturday March 19 at one o clock for officer elections and a Love roll call. Blood Drive Surpasses Goal at Red Cross Bank

258 pints collected last Friday beating a 175 pint goal while 25 donors were turned away for lack of bottles and 26 volunteers were rejected. 95 first time donors joined as Salem Bar Association praise from Judge James E. McMackin Jr. extends thanks.

Patoka High School Girls Sextette entered the District Solo and Ensemble contest in Robinson Illinois on March 12. They sang By The Bend of the River and earned a second excellent rating.
