The Pato ka High School Alumni held its annual meeting at the school May 31 with 104 members and guests. Officers elected included Blanche McCallen as President and Mae Eagan as Treasurer. The evening featured a staged airship banquet, music, and a playful initiation of the 1930 class, followed by a reception and songs.

Macon Farmer Boosts Corn Yields with Limestone and Clover
C E Rogers of Macon County used limestone and sweet clover on his farm to lift corn yields. Beginning with 20 acres in 1926, he spread a carload of limestone yearly and incorporated clover, yielding 65 bushels per acre in 1928 and around 50 in the following season, far above untreated plots.

About 200 children from all local churches participate in 45 voice chorus and multiple acts including songs, scripture reading, a motion song and a pageant titled A Riot of Roses.
