Mr and Mrs Roy Ballance celebrate their belated Golden Wedding Anniversary on February 14 in Patoka. They have six children sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Ballances married in the old Methodist Parsonage and now reside in Patoka with a snowy 20 degree day noted.

Patoka Sunbeams gathered at the local Baptist Church Saturday at one o clock. Patsy Sharp welcomed Christie Bozarth. The counselor shared The Wopsy-Turvy Twins missionary story. Mr and Mrs Rolla Sparks left Tuesday for a ten day visit in Texas and Oklahoma visiting Rev and Mrs W B Mitchell in Houston and Mr and Mrs Roy Jones in Cushing. Mrs Wilkerson and daughter Velma joined them to Poplar Bluff Missouri where Mrs Wilkerson will enter the hospital.
