Campbell brothers visited Ransom Hicks and family Saturday night to hear the radio. KE E McHaney and wife called on Mr and Mrs John Talbert Tuesday afternoon. John Wagner called on Wm Campbell Wednesday afternoon. Gene Simpson and family visited Sunday with Wm Palmer and family. Lena Mae Talbert spent Saturday with grandmother Mrs J W Kretzer. Bro Sidney Speer filled his regular appointment Saturday and Sunday night but was absent Sunday morning to preach a funeral south of Centralia. C E Goodwin and wife spent Sunday with C E McHaney and wife.
Wm Campbell visited the John Talbert family Saturday night. Wm Perkins and family called Sunday with Everett Jett and wife. Clarence Cozad and family visited Sunday with E E McHarey and wife. John Talbart has been on the sick list the last week.
A Republican Convention will be held Saturday February 23 at 2 00 P M at Vernon Town Hall to nominate candidates for township offices and to handle other business. L D Martin Fred Lawrence.
Mrs. Freda Tacke spent Monday night with her sister Mrs. Lawrence Perrine and family. Wash Bowen traveled to St. Louis Monday. Fifty attended Sunday School at Fairman. Various Bowen and Poole family members visited, called, or spent time with relatives over the weekend.
Luther Caldwell administrator announces the estate of Darrell L Caldwell deceased. He will appear at the Marion County Illinois County Court in Salem at the April Term on the First Monday in April for filing and adjustment of claims. Creditors must attend or make immediate payment to the administrator.
