Jail Four Following Fight in Sandoval Monday Night
In Sandoval on Monday night December 25, four men were jailed in Salem after a fight at D and M Tavern and a cafe brawl with Dixcel owner Kerwin Fish. Fish received seven stitches after striking Dave Spitler, while Spitler and others faced charges as officers transported them to jail. Fish was hospitalized in Centralia for head and neck injuries.

Laws Return Home After Visit to Hope dale
Mr and Mrs Herbert Laws returned Saturday from Hope dale Illinois where they visited daughter and son in law Mr and Mrs Cecil Robison. Mrs Robison has been ill for a month but is improving. Marion County Rural Youth Christmas Party at Purdue Home
The Marion County Rural Youth met at Mr. and Mrs. Bob Purdue's home on December 20 for their annual Christmas party.
