Silver Tea Meeting Held By M E Church Women
Misses Rubye and Florence Cain hosted the Silver Tea Society of the M E Church Monday evening December 20. North Fork Bridge Opens for Traffic on Route 51
The North Fork Bridge north of town on Route 51 was opened Saturday afternoon as a concrete 300 foot long structure replacing two narrow crossings over North Fork Creek. William B Rogier Dies At Home In Patoka
William B Rogier prominent local farmer and bank director died suddenly at his home in Patoka on December 18 1937 at age 72. He served as director of the First State Bank Farmer Elevator and Patoka Telephone Exchange and was active in Bethany Baptist Church. He leaves wife Eva two sons Artie and Millard two daughters in law two grandsons and brothers Charles and H O Rogier. Funeral held December 20 at the Patoka Baptist Church with interment in Patoka Cemetery. Card of Thanks from family extends gratitude to helpers, singers and undertakers.
