Brick School hosts and travels noted in Jackson Michigan and Villa Grove families. Many residents and visitors appear through the week with neighbors, sick lists, and farming activities including farm repairs by Wm Johnson and veterinary care for a sick colt. Everett Kretzer and Cecil Tackett each scored 100 in spelling last week.
Thurman Robb elected school director at Swift school and George Headley at Sandy Branch. Families and friends visited on Sunday and Saturday evenings with multiple households noted visiting Selby Garrett and Raymond Swift homes. Several illness and family mentions appear including Mrs. Ella Garrett, with many local names appearing in weekend gatherings.
Eli Howard Mc Haney and daughter Miss Hazel visited Patoka Saturday. Alvin Gray and wife spent Sunday with Bert Chance and wife. Dwight Black made a business trip to Salem Saturday. Elmer Albert and son Raymond helped Alvin Gray build a fence last Tuesday and Wednesday. Howard Smith went to Alma Saturday. Chas Finch was a business visitor at Patoka Saturday. Albert Fulton and Miss Ruth Bartley of near Iuka called on relatives here Wednesday. Wm Fulton and family visited Centralia last Monday. Wiley Campbell visited Friday night with Ruben Rhoads and family. Frank Barlow was elected school director at the school election Saturday. Alvin Gray business trip to Patoka Saturday. Mrs Rubie Sullens to teach school next year. Elmer Powell made a business trip. Miss Roberta Black had a birthday party Wednesday night. Several young folks attended.

Ruth Talbert with children call on Edith Campbell and daughters. Church group paints on Wednesday while ladies have dinner and quilt in afternoon.
