Arcadia Highs Junior High Science Program Plan
Arcadia School District staff presented the junior high science curriculum to the Board of Education on Monday October 8. Donald W. Empey introduced teachers Edward Feldhaus and Charles Wilson who outlined grades seven to nine courses, with seventh and eighth grade science required and ninth grade physical science elective. Feldhaus described the program as an extension of elementary science focusing on multiple disciplines and balance between physical and biological sciences, praising the new texts for readability and illustrations and noting eighth graders study physical and earth sciences.
