Rose Bowl Fete to Hear Pasadena College Chief

Pasadena College president Dr. W Shelburne Brown will speak at the Kick Off Dinner for the Easter Sunrise 5 ioe in the Rose Bowl. The event, Feb 6 at 6 45 p m at Westminster Presbyterian Church Pasadena, aims to support the 20th annual meeting with about 300 attendees. Pianist Rudy Atwood will provide music. Altadenan Named Chairman YMCA Membership Drive

Ed Miller is named chairman of the 1968 Pasadena YMCA Annual Membership Enrollment campaign running Feb 6 to Feb 20. Rites Open New Pepper Redevelopment Home Center

The Pepper area marks the opening of the Vine Improvement Center as eight homes are honored for rehabilitation under the Pepper Redevelopment Project. Storm Drain Bond Programs Update by County Supervisors

A quarterly report on the 1958 and 1961 storm drain bond programs shows 29 percent of 1958 regular projects received for processing. Of these, 119 of 184 have been advertised for bid, 98 percent of construction funds spent or committed. 67 projects planned from savings, 73 percent received, 2 percent certified or built, 50 percent spent or committed. Overall 97 percent of regular and supplement projects turned in, 86 percent advertised or built. $162 million of $179 million construction funds spent or committed. 1964 program plans 60 percent received, 42 percent constructed or advertised. $48 million of $197 million spent or committed. forecast to rise with larger project plans.

The 64th annual North Dakota state picnic will be held Sunday February 4 at Sycamore Grove Park Los Angeles.
