Bandit Shoots 11 Year Old During Market Robbery

An 11 year old boy was shot in the back while a masked robber used him as a shield during a market holdup at 1451 W Washington Blvd. The bandit fled with about 500 dollars after forcing the boy and market staff into an office. The boy, Grant Higuchi, was treated at Kaiser Hospital and in good condition.

Three-Car Crash Kills La Habra Man Near Fresno

Three cars collided on Kings Canyon Highway southeast of Fresno over the weekend. Henry Eugene Barrett of La Habra, Orange County, died in the crash.
