About $1500 in damage was caused by vandals at Glenn A. Wilson Senior High School in Hacienda Heights. The incident affected administration offices and home economics classrooms. principal John W. Kramar reported sheriff's deputies were dispatched from Industry.

An auxiliary teacher is hired. ongoing programs include auto shop at Cal State L.A. and a new Saturday service station course as part of broader vocational expansion.
San Marino Community Cultural Arts Fair sails into Huntington School lot and San Marino Women’s Club on Saturday from morning until 4 pm. Chair Mrs Andrew Wide wards leads a display of arts and crafts by local youth and district schools with demonstrations in carving painting weaving and more alongside entertainment and a Children’s Corner. Admission is free.
Local groups hold meetings across the area including Pie and Coffee Group at Westminster United Methodist Church via professor Thomas S. Cooke from Applied Marine Biology Center. Senior citizens, New England States Society, Pasadena Stamp Club, Book Budgies book fair in Azusa, and California League of Senior Citizens all schedule gatherings with reservations and speakers.
One man died and another was seriously injured in a Sunday traffic crash in El Monte. Daniel Chasco, 4, of 11311 15 Medina Court, El Monte, died on arrival at El Monte Medical Center shortly before 1 a.m. Henry Bet-Wam, 21, of 11324 Medina Court, El Monte, was in serious condition at County-USC Medical Center.
