About 2,400 high school and eighth grade students in Pasadena Altadena and San Marino are being skin tested for tuberculosis. 18 of 4 positive reactions and 28 doubtful results require re testing as part of a three week program run by the Pasadena Tuberculosis Association with 15 volunteer doctors and nurses. Entertainment families are urged to review consent cards.

Darrell Hernand of Campus Crusade for Christ will address the Santa Anita Christian Women’s Club at Eaton’s Restaurant. Spring hats and music previewed, with reservations offered. A Cadette Girl Scout Rummage Sale funds a trip to Washington, D.C. in 1974, and Gill Martin Jr. will speak at Hamilton School on Catching a Skylark.
Pasadena Architects in Action urges Planning Commission to study locating an Automotive Center on freeway air rights in Pasadena. The group argues it would minimize land use changes, benefit adjacent properties, and allow city lease space while attracting private development. The Planning Commission pledged in principle to rezone land for an auto center where commitments and a plan are submitted.
Jeff McCoy, a 21 year old CalState Los Angeles senior, rebuilt a plain harpsichord into a 17th century style instrument. He spent nine months and over 400 in labor turning the old piece into a working replica of Bach era string keyboard, drawing on a lifelong interest in Bach and early music.
West Corina broker joins a four day Los Angeles trial with defendant John Tatar age 58 facing sentencing April 7 by U.S. District Judge Warner Ferguson. Prosecutors say Tatar failed to file tax returns 1963 through 1966 and late 1967 filings hid unreported income. An agent allegedly sought a $5000 land offer to overlook the income.
