Alhambra School Bond Election Proposal By July 1971

PCC Trustees OK $2 Million Campus Construction Plan

PCC trustees approved a $2 million campus construction program to be advertised for bids. The 15 month project covers administration and library buildings and a central air system, with $1.043 million coming from the state and the rest from local funds. The board also discussed a $2.068 million nursing training building at PCC, a two story facility with labs and a self learning program to serve 200 freshmen and 160 sophomore students.

The 164 edition of Kilron yearbook from Citrus College won first place in the Junior College offset magazine category at the 35th annual Columbia University Scholastic Press Association contest. Judges commended design, layout, and content as the yearbook scored high points. Millard Sheets Studio Looted In Clarermont Heist

Robbers broke into artist Millard Sheets studio on Foothill Boulevard over the weekend and fled with artwork valued at more than 514,000. Six Pre Columbian figures, valued at 2310 each, were taken along with other objects and office equipment. Deputies say entry was gained through a rail vent. Shoals was in New York at the time.
