Weather woes strand passengers near The Pas in 1978
Five miles of cloud drift and low ceilings trap 30 northbound and 45 to 50 southbound TransAir passengers at The Pas. With 200 to 600 foot ceilings and visibility limited, flights were rerouted to Flin Flon and Winnipeg. Passengers boarded buses for an 80 mile leg to The Pas, amid delays and fault lines over planning.
