17 Yr Old Charged With Trafficking in Manitoba
A 17 year old girl was charged with possession of a restricted drug for trafficking under the Food and Drug Act. She was picked up at a local restaurant on Saturday May 1 around 5 p.m. after confidential information led police to the arrest. A large quantity of what police allege to be LSD and mescaline was seized, sent to a lab, and valued at about $800. She is in custody of her father with daily probation reporting. Police indicate other people in The Pas were approached about selling the same goods. Continued on page 15.

Grade 9 Students Lead Clean Up Week In The Pas
About 60 Grade 9 students from Margaret Barbour Collegiate donated half a day to kick off clean-up week May 10 to 15 in The Pas. They cleaned along the Saskatchewan River between Bell and Head Avenues and Halcrow Avenue near Halcrow Lake while town officials plan future cleanup on Gordon Avenue. The town urges residents to follow the youth example. Local businesses provided refreshments for the volunteers.
