Education for Living course expands across Manitoba schools
The Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute started Education for Living four to five years ago to help students who might drop out. It now serves grades 9 to 12 with fifteen students and has inspired eight schools to request copies of the course outline. The program covers communication, sex education with guest speakers, law and rights, landlord and tenant acts, family law, careers, consumer education, and a new unit on chemical use and abuse led by Bonnie Young.
