M B C I News Highlights Outdoor Trips and Exchanges
The Pas Herald reports M B C I students undertook a 15 mile Porcupine Mt. hike with teachers and a park interpreter. The May 10 Winnipeg orientation trip for 12th graders includes visits to Manitoba and Red River campuses, with a Belafonte concert adjourned to hotel stays financed by a travel grant. A Swan River track meet features four male students training for sprint and shot put events. Canadian poets Joe Rosenblatt and Genevieve Bartolo spoke to about 300 students, and an Education Canada exchange program brings nine M B C I students and several Canadian peers to The Pas for cultural immersion. Upcoming events include a May 14 Dine and Dance fundraiser, a May 21 Move-a-thon, and a May 22 Grads rummage sale.
