Iroquois Trudeau cuts suspend teacher at Opasquia
Grade 5 EMH teacher Carder at Opasquia Elementary School was suspended by Kelsey School Division after cutting two students hair in what authorities describe as Iroquois and Trudeau styles. A meeting with Carder and parents was held without prejudice as investigations continue. The March 7 incidents prompted the suspension on March 8.

Fantasy on Ice features 200 skaters at The Pas club show
The Pas Figure Skating Club presented Fantasy on Ice with all 200 members, drawing crowds of 800 to 900. Miss Karen Flichel produced directed and designed costumes while Vince Hasker announced. The Toyland themed show used a castle backdrop and a large Jack in the Box prop built by Lawrence O Grodnick and Lloyd Fermstead.

Dairy Queen Flooded Twice Causes Pump Access
A Dairy Queen was inundated twice with floodwater, leaving one freezer submerged in four inches and the counter area with two inches of water while customers and staff walked through an inch in the booth area. The following Friday, March 16, the store flooded again and the pavement was excavated from the doorway to place a cess pump for drainage.
