Another Back Alley Fire Threatens Elk's Hall
A fire last Tuesday afternoon nearly destroyed Elk's Hall on Fischer Avenue. Discovered around 4 45 PM by neighbor Jack Houe who sounded the alarm. Fire in a rear garbage box moved away from the structure by Deputy Fire Chief Bert Hayes and Mr Hone before it could spread.
