The Pas Tax Picture and Town Budget Struggles
A Manitoba Manitoba The Pas submission to the Provincial Government warns of a likely 12 mill residential tax rise tied to a doubling of the school levy from 1971 to the current year. The note recalls The Pas as a northern town without a strong economic base and outlines past budget controls under the Municipal and Public Utility Board from 1946 to 1950.
