CN Plans For 160 Car Siding At The Pas
The Canadian National Railway outlines a three year plan to build a 160 car siding at The Pas to ease traffic at town intersections and upgrade the Hudson Bay line to diesel era standards. Two sites are studied. the south end location may run parallel to the main line while the north site would connect to the saw pulp mill, with the latter favored if the mill operates. The project aims to replace short sidings with longer ones, starting in 1967 and finishing by 1968.
