Snow Sculptors Prepare For Trappers Festival In The Pas

Snow sculptors in The Pas prepare for the Trappers Festival with plans for multiple ice and snow artworks. Real Berard of Manitoba Tourism and Recreation will lead the project, with a 12 to 15 foot centerpiece and a new ice palace design. Students from Margaret Barbour Collegiate join in, competing for inter-house and overall trophies at the Valentine Dance. Calls go out for participants by February 13 to Trappers Festival headquarters.

Sculpturing Contest Replaces Parade At Trappers Festival

The Trappers Festival executive cancel the parade citing waning interest and replace it with a snow and ice sculpturing contest sponsored by Keystone Fisheries. Participants may sculpt at the sports ground ice and snow area managed by Real Berard or in schoolyards and home lots.
