Widow remarries and settles in The Pas later life
The article records a woman who after marrying Henry Bates and losing his daughter to diphtheria in Minneapolis in 1910 moved with her son Raymond to Big River Saskatchewan to live with relatives. She later married Alphonse Joseph Richard, worked for Winton Lumber Co, moved to The Pas in 1920, and remained active in Devon Rebekah Lodge for 60 years. Funeral services were held at Hayes Funeral Home The Pas with services and interment at Lakeside Cemetery. Surviving are her husband two sons six grandchildren two great grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
