John Calvert edged a strong field to win the Pacific Northwest dog sled championship in Prince George with a 3:47:08 final lap. Murdock Carriere, Teddy Slater, Wilfred Thomas, Napoleon Denedeze, and Gilbert Morin rounded out the top six as Calvert claimed Labatt’s Trophy amid hometown pride and modest celebration.

John Calvert won the 22 mile race at The Pas earning 1925 dollars including a 1000 plus bonus for three laps and a 1500 trophy.
