Crown Life Insurance Company, via Jack Johnson of The Pas Rotary Club, pledges $1000 to a new Library Museum project. The donation, announced at a Rotary noon luncheon, is a concession to the policy against gifts and follows a 1950 flood relief donation in Winnipeg. Board approval confirmed.

Guest Speaker at Mushers Banquet Officials Named

The Mushers BanquetFriday night features Hon Obie Baiziey Minister of Municipal Affairs and Commissioner of Northern Affairs as guest speaker. The event at Guy Hall begins 6:30 PM with Trappers Stew bannock and jam. Delores Chartier leads songs with a lineup aiding background music and Cliff Gardner as Master of Ceremonies.

Damages Reported at Mary Duncan School and Harry Trager Limited

Vandals damaged two Mary Duncan School doors smashing glass and causing about 50 in damages. Police found no entry tracks and believe intruders did not enter the building. RCMP continue to investigate. During the week Harry Trager Limited was also broken into with a suitcase reported missing.

School Board Plans Meeting Over Bus Service Quality

The Kelsey School Division trustees condemn dirty aging buses and late arrivals as cold weather disrupts classes. A meeting with bus drivers is scheduled to address the issues and air grievances about service reliability.
