Trappers Festival Promoted by Winnipeg Shopping Centre
Garden City Shopping Centre in Winnipeg plans a three day promotion for the Northern Manitoba Trappers Festival from February 4 to 6. The event features a northern animals display taxidermy wildlife trap displays dog sleighs and a taped version of The Ice Worm theme song. Two winners will join the festival courtesy of the centre with two rooms and north hospitality provided. A Schmockey Night appearance is set for February 6 at Winnipeg Arena with about 11,000 attendees.

Local Talent Lined Up For NFB Film Cold Journey
The National Film Board is filming Cold Journey near The Pas with local and Guy Hill School students including MBCIL pupils.
