Kelsey School Division No 45 announces Christmas recess begins at 4 PM today for all students. Students return to classes Wednesday January 3 1973. School facilities closed to public use until then to allow custodians and maintenance to work. Board offices open December 27 28 and 29.

A Thursday blaze completely destroyed the Brett-Young Seeds egg production plant on The Pas eastern outskirts. About 80,000 dollars in losses were reported with 10,000 chickens killed. The gable structure and office section burned with aluminum sheathing melted as investigators arrived at the scene.
The Pas Girls Choir sponsored by Manitoba Mydra will present a half hour radio program on December 25 on CFAR station. Listeners can hear the choir sing that day.
A labor board hearing over certification of clerical and office staff at the forestry complex ended in a numbers game. The United Papers Union of America Local 203 sought a 434 member bargaining unit but management objected. Union and management exchanged lists of eligible employees with 16 of 25 cards signed, short of full certification.
