Fire Department reports false alarms and safety review in The Pas
At 8 48 a m December 7 the Pas Volunteer Fire Department answered a call to a hydro pole fire on Stuart and Bignell streets caused by a short circuit. No injuries and slight damage. chief warns false alarms risk missing real ones. A second false alarm December 11 at Hogan Avenue followed bursting water pipes and a ceiling short in the alarm system. Chief Puckett notes upgrades to fire safety in rooming houses and a general conditions review to enforce exit doors lights and smoke detectors.
