Overture Association Chooses Concerts for 1972 73 Season
The Overture Concert Association will select concerts for the 1972 73 season at a meeting on Thursday August 31 at 8 00 PM in the Board Room of the Provincial Building. Local 600 Pickets Western Grocers in One Day Strike
Eleven Local 600 workers at Western Grocers walked off the job for one day last week over pay. They picketed the loading dock all Thursday and blocked straight truck access, forcing loads to be taken at an angle. Spokesman Garry Richardson said the action was aimed at pressuring for higher wages.
