A money by-law for a 48 classroom high school at The Pas will be submitted to electors on September 12. The Kelsey School Division plans a $807,000 debenture after a $153,000 cash from Indian Affairs. Ratepayers contribute $159,060 with grants the rest. Polls open 9 AM to 6 PM at three locations.

The Pas Indian Band funded to The Town of The Pas four thousand eight hundred dollars for money paid on a block of Indian owned land on Keewatin intended for a storage and warehouse area. The land would replace the current site if the bridge approach moved. The refund occurred after the Minister of Indian Affairs ruled no more Indian held land could be sold. The Pas was offered the land on a lease basis but council took no action.
