Alarm system discussion and Wanless park plan debated

The Pas town officials debated installing a large alarm based public safety net with fire and burglar sensors while Wanless housing plans faced school transport cost concerns. Critics warned long bus rides for The Pas students and a bigger tax burden on The Pas. LGD and DREE funded parts of the project with deadlines set for 1975.

Exhibition Association honours two members

The Pas and District Exhibition Association named Wilf Cudmore Honourary President and presented Sid Wi on with a new stetson at its annual meeting. Directors noted deteriorating grounds facilities and a last year deficit of 1100 dollars while electing a full slate of officers for the coming year including Wilf Cudmore as president and Judy Melko as secretary.
