Class Driver Licence System Adopted by Manitoba
The Class Driver Licence System, created by the Driver Licence Committee of the Canadian Conference of Motor Transport Authorities, will begin April 1 1975 with Manitoba joining British Columbia and Alberta. It improves up grading knowledge skills and fitness for operating large vehicles and recognizes professional drivers. Renewal and reclassification procedures apply for drivers affected by vehicle type changes, with questionnaires mailed previously guiding licence class eligibility. Birth dates in April 1975 renewals will include class licences drivers qualify for.
