Manitoba Mobile Home Safety Rules Begin April 1

Inspectors found 492 units approved in Winnipeg and 89 outside, with 57 unapproved and 31 showing minor to major hazards. Fees for inspections range from 17.50 to 400 dollars post April 1, with Manitoba built units needing only visual CSA approval and imported units undergoing thorough inspection.

Police report two fresh incidents cite ongoing investigation
An RCMP spokesman says no new details have emerged on two recent incidents. On March 3 a man with a 22 caliber rifle robbed Hill's Corner Store at 702 Gordon Avenue, taking $116. The St Patrick’s Day liquor theft at Avenue Hotel saw about $1000 of liquor stolen via a back loading door with several cases of beer wine and hard liquor carried away. Investigations continue for both cases.

Over the weekend of March 21 1976 Comrade George Ingram received the Golden Anniversary Medal from the Royal Canadian Legion marking fifty years of continuous service. He is the fourth local member to be awarded this service accolade. Ingram resides at St Pauls Residence in The Pas where Legion and Ladies Auxiliary members attended the presentation.

Moncton Businessman to Keynote Gideons Rally in The Pas
