Tickets subsidized to allow children to see Roy Rogers at the Alladin Theatre. high school students pay 15 cents. Local shops donate prizes for a drawing. elementary school holds a Halloween party and costume dance in the gym Friday afternoon. parents urged to support and assist.

Hugh L. Adams Attends Reclamation Convention

Iron County Commissioner Hugh L. Adams, praised for his work in reclamation, was invited by Governor Herbert B. Maw to represent Utah at the 1947 National Convention of the National Reclamation Association in Phoenix Arizona on October 29 30 and 31. Commissioner Adams and Mrs Adams traveled with Mr and Mrs Parley Moyle of Beryl by car to Phoenix and planned return by weekend.

Dell M Clark dies of heart attack in California

Dell Martin Clark age 24 died at 3 05 p m Monday in Community Hospital Long Beach after a brief illness. He was born January 12 1923 in Parowan to Lyman and Violet Clark. A former meat cutter and traveling show case supervisor, he married Helen Woods Clark July 2 1943 and is survived by three children, his mother, siblings, and grandparents. Funeral services planned for East Ward Chapel at 2 00 p m.

M I A Junior Class Hallowe'en Party Held

The East Ward M I A Junior Class led by Mrs Rosalind Decker and Mrs Edna Brown held a Hallowe'en party Tuesday at Bishop and Mrs Jesse Guymons home. Girls wore costumes and played games and stunts before eating sack lunches, with LaVonna Guymon serving hot cocoa.

Mrs Mable Mitchell Adams of Parowan and Albert Warren of Salt Lake City wed on October 22 in Las Vegas Nevada officiated by Bishop Thomas Adams. Adams, long a Parowan resident, taught in Utah schools for 20 years. The couple plans to winter in Salt Lake City after a few weeks in Parowan.

Parowan City Council Buys Road Equipment

Parowan City Council ordered a Reed Patrol from Robinson Machinery Co of Salt Lake City to improve and maintain streets. Delivery set for November. aim to prevent dry, dusty roads. They also hired engineer Thomas C. Adams to advise on hydroelectric system works and approved curb and gutter work on Main Street. Election judges appointed for three districts.

Church News Highlights Ward Relief Society Conference

West Ward Relief Society president Della Mareden announces the annual Conference of the Ward Relief Society to convene Sunday evening at 8.30 in the LDS Chapel with officers and class leaders required at 7 for a preliminary meeting. Representatives from the Stake Board will attend both meetings. The week includes a Testimony meeting after Sunday School and East Ward Choir practice at 3.00. The West East Ward Reunion showcased community effort with reports, musical items, a lunch, and Social activities led by Frank Patten, Richard Benson, Ray Lyman, and Claude Orton.
