Incumbents include Arthur Joseph mayor and Lou Adams long term councilman with two year seats filled by Joseph F Hohwak and Howard Joseph. The Office of Food Allocation releases dates for war ration book four in Utah as October 27 25 and 29. Eligibility covers most residents except armed forces in camps and certain institutionalized persons. Applicants must present ration book three for proof and stamping. Avierion Cadet Donald A Dalton aged 15 son of Mr and Mrs Harley W Datten of Parowan and husband of Caela S Dalton of Cedar City completed basic training at Merced Army Air Field. He previously worked at Heunington Arms Salt Lake City. Dalton will attend Stockton Field California for advanced training and, upon completion, receive Wings and become an officer in the United States Army Air Forces.
Local Red Cross workers Phoebe Taylor Arvilla Mortensen and Waite Whitney announce a rummage sale in the Gut Shoppe building on Wednesday October 20 canvassing planned citywide next week to boost funds and collect blankets bathrobes and materials to finish slippers for hospital patients amid a Washington return of W Moore after months away on construction work.
