Pindeer to Parowan Pioneer dies in Salt Lake City
Alr. Mabonri M. Steele Sr. a founder of Parowan and later a pioneer to Toquerville and Panguitch, died at his daughter Emily Steele Jensen’s home in Salt Lake City on September 18. He was buried September 21 beside his wife in Delta. He spent much of his life in Panguitch and was prominent in civic and religious affairs, marking the passing of another survivor of Southern Utah’s early history.

The winter wheat seeding time on dry lands is here again and yields depend on soil. Nephi Sub- Station data show six pecks per acre on clay loam outperforming smaller amounts.
