Stroke fatal to prominent Parowan garage operator
Claude E Burton prominent Parowan business and civic leader died at Iron County hospital Cedar City after a stroke. He had surgery to remove a blood clot from his leg but complications caused coma and death about 24 hours later. A Parowan native born May 26 1903 he ran the Parowan Service Company garage, served as city councilman Lions Club president and held church and civic roles. Surviving are his widow two daughters and two sons with funeral set for Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Parowan Third Ward Chapter.

Bus and Truck Crash Injures Former Parowanite
Lynn Green a former Parowanite and station operator, was injured in a head-on collision with a Continental Trailways bus in Cedar City last Sunday. He sustained a crushed chest, broken legs, and a broken arm and is in serious condition at Iron County Hospital. The crash left the truck crushed under the bus with $500 in bus damage.
