Death Claims Prominent Civic and Church Leader Hugh Adams
Hugh LeRoy Adams 75 prominent livestock grower and civic leader died at his Parowan home today of a heart ailment. Born May 23, 1882, in Parowan to Hugh Leath and Juliette Bayles Adams, he married Barbara Mathews in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1907. He served 28 years on Iron County Commission, was bishop of Parowan and Parowan West Wards for 18 years, and 16 years on the High Council. Survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren, a brother, a sister, and a sister-in-law. Services Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Parowan Third LDS Ward Church. Visitation Friday 7–9 p.m. Jensen Mortuary and 10 a.m. to time of service Saturday at the church.

Deer Tag Rules Reopen Open Hunting in Three Utah Units
The Antimony East Zion and Henry Mountain areas will be open to all hunters with unused regular licenses on two weekends November 30 December 1 and December 7 8. The misprint in the 57 Deer Proclamation prompted earlier claims that only permit holders could hunt there. Unsuccessful hunters may bag one deer of either sex on regular licenses during the 1957 season in these units on those weekends.
