Parowan City's volunteer fire department unveiled a triple duty K and J resuscitator at a meeting, boosting capabilities for drowning, shock, asthma, gas poisoning, heart attack, and other emergencies. About 500 dollars funded the device, which provides hospital quality resuscitation anywhere and can treat two to three victims independently.

Parowan guests Mrs Ella Feldsated Mrs Zilpha Dalton and Mrs Florence D Denson attended the Cedar City Garden Club afternoon gathering at Frank Thorley’s home. They displayed about thirty table decorations and centerpieces made from painted weeds foam feathers and various natural materials and demonstrated their making. The trio had just returned from a Leadership school in Logan representing Parowan Ward Relief Society and learned new decorative techniques. Invitations came through Miss Fern Johnson Iron County Home Demonstrator.

Parowan Students Enjoy Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner
About 325 students at Parowan Elementary and High School enjoyed a turkey dinner at the school lunch center on Tuesday noon. Mrs. Leone Lyman supervised the event with Parowan staff and PTA members aiding. Tickets cost 20 cents. menu included turkey mashed potatoes gravy cranberry sauce bread butter celery and milk. Seven 26 pound turkeys and 124 pounds of potatoes were used plus 26 loaves of bread 12 puddings and four dozen quarts of milk. The meal was served in under two hours with steady line distribution. The dinner was skipped last year due to turkey costs and charity needs.
