The election yesterday produced a pronounced Republican victory as results were announced. Balloting tallies show Republicans prevailing across contests, signaling strong party support and momentum for upcoming political processes.
Cedar Never notes Halloween parties at the Mercantile studio and Cedar district mixed with updates on probation work, a former student leaving for National Service, and local farm gatherings. The bulletin lists a Student Staff election with Margaret Garral as Editor and outlines upcoming events including a Thanksgiving issue, public speaking, and a Lyceum show by the Cherminaky Bros.
Jas Fisher of Rush Lake says affairs at the lake are progressing smoothly after a private business visit last Friday. He adds that a good storm would improve things, noting the lake scene remains favorable.
The county commissioners met to approve delinquent tax matters for 1517 and accepted reports from the sheriff and attorney. Lawrence Miller was approved as deputy sheriff. Bond for road improvements in Kanarra district and various expense claims for officials and vendors were approved or deferred. A special election request for a fence was discussed and scheduled for next meeting.

Notice shows 18 percent installment on Liberty Bonds due in San Francesco November 15, 1917. To reach by that date, funds must depart Tuesday morning November 12. Subscribers without local bank accounts asked to deposit by November 10 or 12, with nonaccount holders noted. Bank account holders will be charged as they become due.
The Iron County School Board met in Parowan on November 4. The superintendent reported district finances and a slight salary raise for teachers due to workload. They planned to hire a music teacher at Parowan High and considered expanding staff in Cedar. Enrollment stood at 1236 elementary and 199 high students. Building funds were sought to finish Parowan, with talks of a new boiler and heating plant.
Last Thursday evening in the Re hel Hall a farewell party was held for Albert Benson who left Friday for military service at Camp Lew Washington. The event was directed by J Alvia Bengon Bra Lorin Smith and Birs Harcock with about 75 relatives and friends attending. A program of songs and talas was presented by Walter C. Mitchell J H Gurt and Heber Benson. A luncheon followed the entertainment and program, and guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The New York Trio, famed organizers in their field, will play in Cedar City on Saturday. They praised the gentlemen as thrilling and great artists. Parowans plan to attend the performance, with several locals traveling to see the trio.
Coooy Cherk WY reports Warner Mitchell issued licenses this week to Toy Becaon and Misa Klea Gann of Farowan and to Alfred Olean and Mim Della Corry of Glen Dale and Cedar City respectively, formalizing unions in a regional proceeding.
The Sophomores stage a lively pep rally as they banter with freshmen and claim bragging rights in a spirited high school contest. Elections loom with Conservatives and Readus vying for influence while Ag Club courses push Crop Club and Stock Club projects forward.
