Sudden Heart Attack Ends Life of Ervin Yardley

Ervin Yardley 57 of Parowan was found dead in his bed Sunday morning likely from a heart attack. He died around 2 a.m. at home with his wife Maria and son Oscar nearby after returning from a visit with Oscar in Los Angeles. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Parowan with Bishop Adams officiating and a large choir. Yardley, born February 23, 1881, married Ethel Benson then later wed Margot Kelord. he worked as a streetcar conductor and lived in Salt Lake City before returning to Parowan. He is survived by his wife, Oscar, two daughters, three sisters, a sister-in-law, and a brother. The family and community noted his long residence and contributions. several local residents attended related events and meetings in Salt Lake City.
