Parowan Man Burned in Cedar City Garage Explosion
Walter F. Orton of Parowan sustained critical burns in a furnace room blast at Bradway Chevrolet in Cedar City Saturday morning. An uncapped radiator alcohol can exploded igniting flames, burning most of his body. He was rushed to County Hospital in grave condition with chest and hands spared. doctors reported no change as reporters went to press.

Relatives Attend Funeral For Infant In Cedar City
Relatives from Parowan attend the Cedar City 1st Ward Church funeral for a seven week old infant son of Jay and Afton Evans Perry. The infant died Monday morning from digestive complications present since birth. Survived by parents, three brothers Leon Eldon and Kenneth, paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Fred J Perry of Cedar City, and maternal grandparents Bishop and Mrs W Leonard Evans of Parowan.

Joseph Meeks, born June 1 1876 in Parowan, died May 21 in the Bighorn country after complications from a major abdominal operation. Survived by widow Lizzie Dalton Meeks of Cowley and children Edward Frank Scott Meeks and Ora Weld of Cowley, Wyoming. brothers Lewis and Joseph Meeks of Cowley and sister Mrs Susan Mickelson of Parowan. Frank Mickelson of Parowan and Lewis Mickelson of Cedar City attended his funeral in Cowley. Alice Tebbs of Cowley died April 18.

Last Rites for William F Whitney in Parowan Ward
Funeral services for Wilken Frustry Witney were held in Wie West Ward Chapel with Bishop Evans presiding. The service featured several musical numbers and speakers, followed by burial rites at the cemetery. Whitney, born August 17, 1877 in Parowan, died Friday after chronic illness. He is survived by four sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and siblings in Parowan and Salt Lake City.
