American Legion officers and members urged all citizens to join a cemetery improvement effort. Mayor Bentley endorses the movement and residents of Paragonah with relatives buried there are invited. Monument plans are delayed by government red tape, so no Memorial Day ceremony will occur. work will focus on grave upkeep, removing dead trees, and improving the driveway. Volunteers are asked to bring shovels rakes pitchforks or similar tools.

Ogden Man Survives Severe Summit Car Crash
KE Caswell a 74 year old Ogden Utah man escaped death after a solo car crash near Summit. He struck a wash avoided a Ford coupe and wrecked his vehicle but remained alive and is expected to recover despite serious damage to the car and his age. He notified hotel staff of his identity and kept news from his family to avoid worry. The wreck left the car a total loss with trade-in value around one hundred dollars.
