Parowan High School Alumni Assn announces plans for a Home Coming Day on May 28 featuring a fishing contest with a biggest fish prize from 5 to 9 am weigh in at Burton's Garage, an 11 am assembly, 2 to 4 pm horse riding club events, a 5 to 6 30 pm barbecue at Five Mile Recreation Camp, and a 9 pm public dance. Invitations went to about 1,000 members. dues 50 cents to support projects. Several local residents visited or traveled for family matters recently.

Water heater controls were ordered to level peak demand and reduce city power costs. Mary Carroll Lemmon was elected president of CSU Associated Women Students, Marilyn Lovell named secretary.

The Ver million Castle Forest Camp in Parowan Canyon reopened for the summer season last week, with staff tidying facilities after winter. Ranger Foyer Oleson urged public cooperation to keep rest rooms clean. Caretaker Scott Orton will again manage the camp and groups may reserve areas by contacting him.

Utah State Road Commission announces a new General Highway Map of Iron County revised to March 21, 1955, replacing the 1948 edition. The map reflects road changes, legislative and Federal aid route updates, and features, prepared by the Highway Planning Department with the U S Bureau of Public Roads. Availability is $2 per sheet for 1 1 mile scale or 50c per sheet for 1 1 mile scale, with three sheets required for full coverage. Utah Department of Fish and Game announces the May 28 opening of the fishing season, the earliest in years. Wranglers Plan Memorial Day Race Meet
The Red Hill Wranglers will stage a two day horsemens race meet in Parowan over Memorial Day weekend. Region Six Music Festival Draws 1200 Local Students
