Wool from Parowan's two main annual harvests nearing shipment promises cash flow for three to four months of stalled payments. About 60 to 75 thousand dollars may move through the valley as hundreds of bags head to the railroad under contracts around 36 to 33 cents a pound.

Parowan High School Graduation Acknowledges Speakers

The Parowan High School graduation, held Friday night in Ward Tabernacle, saw nineteen graduates receive diplomas. Maybr John W. Bentley presented diplomas while President Mac Farlane, S. J. Foster, Superintendent Barlow, Principal Hatch, and Dr. Merrill attended. Dr. Merrill delivered the address to a large Parowan and Paragonah audience. J. B. Decker Jr. was valedictorian, delivering a clear, modern speech on service and effort as the exercises closed a successful school year. The Times also thanks Congressman Don J. Colton for a map of Utah’s reserves and lands, noting its usefulness for national forest, Indian reservations, military reservations, and reclamation projects.

Mr. Engar will arrive early in the week to direct a Summer School of Music with registration opening Tuesday at 4 p.m. Pupils will take daily private lessons in separate rooms under his supervision and practice in groups at intervals.
